Mary Akosua Seiwaa Owusu, Ph.D (Associate Consultant)

Education: PHD (Dalhousie University) Canada
                    Lecturer at the Department of History, Dalhousie University.

Mary Owusu is a Senior lecturer in History at the University of Cape Coast. She has over 12 years’ experience teaching at the tertiary level in Ghana, USA and Canada. She is a 2007 Cadbury Fellow of the University of Birmingham and a 2011/2012 Fulbright scholar in residence. Her research covers the intellectual history of Ghana, agricultural and environmental history of southern Ghana as well as the colonial and post-colonial history of Africa. She has made some publications including:

 ‘Constructios of Masculinity Among the Akan People of Ghana” in Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vol 1, No. 2,
