Dr. Keita has over 10 years of experience in the African context with a background in Security Studies and issues related to African security Development; relevant and recent field experience in Africa conflict zones. Dr. Keita’s diverse experiences reach the political, corporate, and diplomatic domains. Throughout his professional career Dr. Keita assisted foreign officials and has maintained professional relationships with policymakers in the United States Government and leading Congressional and academic authorities, as well as international officials and academic experts. Dr. Keita has built important ties with the US Congress, working closely with Senator Paul Strauss. On the African continent Dr. Keita monitored Africa security policy literature across topics strategic to the U.S. Department of Defense and African policymakers. Dr. Keita was instrumental in bridging the gap between the U.S. and several African countries such as Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, and Angola. Dr. Keita has negotiated petroleum contracts in West and Central Africa with US oil and gas corporations facilitating contracts and cooperation with various government officials in West Africa.
